Canceling Appointments

So we can see as many patients as possible, it is important for patients to call and let us know if they are unable to come to an appointment. If possible, patients should cancel 24 hours prior to their appointment by calling the appropriate phone number above. Calling to cancel on

the date of appointment is better than not calling at all.

Charges for Care

At UMC we accept most insurances. If you have a private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid or CHIPS, be sure to give the receptionist a copy of your card so that the insurance company can be billed for the services. If you do not have insurance, UMC has a sliding fee schedule/discount system you may apply for. Qualification for this program is based on residency, family income and the size of the family. For more information about the sliding fee schedule/discounts, contact the Eligibility Department at the clinic in your area.
